Learn how to live stream on Instagram with our easy video tutorial. We'll walk you through the steps to start streaming to chat with your followers. We'll also show you how to go live with a friend, and how to turn off commenting if you'd like to.
To live stream on Instagram, launch the app on your device. Tap the camera icon in the top left. Tap Live. When you're ready, tap Start Live Video. Now you can chat with your followers, give them an update, and read their comments. Tap End at the top right when you want to finish your live stream.
Tips for The Best Live Stream on Instagram
1. To turn off comments during an Instagram live stream, tap the three dots at the bottom of your screen. Then tap Turn Off Commenting.
2. To invite a friend to share your live stream with you, tap the Invite icon, then tap their name from the list of options. If they accept your invitation, your friend will appear on your screen in split-screen mode.
3. Once you’re done streaming, tap Share to save a recording of your live stream to your Instagram story so any of your followers who missed your stream will be able to watch it for up to 24 hours after your stream ends.
