Instagram has finally added a GIF keyboard to their direct messaging interface! Watch this video to learn how to quickly and easily send GIFs in Instagram DMs.
First, make sure you’ve updated Instagram to the newest version. Then open Instagram and tap the Direct Message icon in the top right corner. Then choose the conversation with the person you want to send a GIF to, or tap the plus sign icon in the top right corner to start a new conversation. Type in the name of the user you want to send a GIF to, then tap Next. Tap the GIF icon at the bottom. Now type in a word to search in the GIPHY database. To send a randomly selected GIF based on that search phrase, tap Random. Then tap Send. Or, scroll horizontally to view more GIFs from your search results. When you see a GIF you like, tap it to send it. Be careful not to tap the wrong one, because the GIF will send as soon as you tap it.
